NGOs in Taiwan
Democracy in Taiwan has been hard-won. Since the colonial era and through authoritarian regimes, numerous activists and advocacy groups have tirelessly challenged entrenched violence, oppression, and prejudices, leading to today's diverse openness. However, democracy requires ongoing safeguarding. Achieving national sovereignty, equality, and justice, and balancing individual freedom with public interests depend on collective participation. In the 21st century, civil movements thrive, aiming for a prosperous Taiwan.
